Gareth Clay is Electronics Engineer with a background in medical device compliance and product development. He holds a degree from the Victoria University of Wellington in Electronics and Computer Systems with first-class honours. The focus of his honours study was developing a cheap, battery powered portable device capable of measuring patient intracellular and extracellular water using bioimpedance.

Gareth previously worked for 5 years as a Product Development Engineer for Fisher & Paykel Healthcare. There he developed electronics for next generation nasal-high flow (AIRVO) medical devices. As well as product design, a heavy focus was also on engineering and regulatory compliance documentation. During this period Gareth also returned to work for Victoria University of Wellington on several research projects to develop IoT devices for measuring and monitoring water quality.
