Kylie graduated with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Biotechnology from Queensland University of Technology in 2004 and a Master of Science in Forensic Science from Griffith University in 2008.

She started her career conducting plant molecular genetics research at the University of Queensland in 2005 and progressed into forensic DNA profiling for a multitude of species; including humans, bovine, ovine and canine. Prior to working at Bionics Kylie was a Senior Scientist undertaking work in medical genetic testing and animal genetics.

Kylie has worked at Bionics Institute since 2015 managing the laboratory, facilities and OHS across all sites.
